About Croakies

Founded in 1977 by a local ski patrolman at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Wyoming, Croakies was born out of a need for an eyewear retainer that could withstand the rigors of alpine adventures. The first pair of Croakies was created using an old wetsuit, scissors, and American ingenuity, inspired by the design of a Chinese finger trap. The name 'Croakies' was adopted by the Jackson Hole ski patrol as a colloquial term, eventually becoming synonymous with the neoprene eyewear retainer.

Today, Croakies continues to produce innovative eyewear retainers, dog leashes, collars, and belts in the heart of the mountains in Jackson, Wyoming, with a manufacturing facility in Bozeman, Montana. The brand is dedicated to creating products that offer comfort, style, durability, and functionality for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages, while also prioritizing sustainable production practices.
